Study Passage : Mark 10
Point of the Passage
1-12
Jesus left Capernaum and went to the region of Judea. When he taught crowds, some Pharisees tested Jesus asking if it is lawful to divorce. Jesus taught Mose's permitting divorce is because of their hard heart. Originally, God made man and woman and they became one flesh. They can't divorce because God made them one. When the disciples asking about this, Jesus taught them. Anyone who divorces commits adultery.
13-16
Jesus welcomed little children saying everyone should receive the kingdom of God like a child. He blessed them.
17-31
When a man asked Jesus how he he can get eternal life, Jesus first challenged if he kept the ten commandments. As he answered he kept it, Jesus again challenged that he would sell his property and give it to the poor and follow him. However, he rejected. Then Jesus taught the disciples that it's hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of God. Amazed at this, the disciples asked Jesus about salvation. Jesus answered all things are possible with God. Peter said that they have left everything to follow Jesus. Jesus replied they will be rewarded according to their committment.
32-34
The disciples were astonished, going up to Jerusalem with Jesus, who told the disciples about his death and resurrection.
35-45
James and John asked Jesus to sit right next to Jesus in his glory. Jesus challenged them if they could drink the cup or be baptized as Jesus would. Though they said they could, Jesus answered it was not for him to grant. The ten was indignant. Jesus taught the leader should serve as he came to serve as a ransom.
46-52
In Jericho, Blind Bartimaeus shouted asking Jesus to help him. He received his sight because of his faith, following Jesus.

Profit of the Passage
In verse 44. Jesus said, "and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all." The leader of kingdom of God must be slave of all. Slave. Salve of all. Must be slave of all. The leader must be slave who fill their needs and help them by serving them.
Am I a slave in my household? Do I fill their needs in my home. Am I willing to serve them in everyday lives? Do my eyes observe them to help them. To serve them and be slave for them, I have to keep watching them.
My wife and my son should be more healthy. I will keep washing the dishes after breakfast and clean the house after dinner before 8 o'clock to give my wife more personal time and to give my son more clean and neat surroundings for health.
